Royal Arcanum Appeal Heard by U S Circuit Court
In Boston on May 15 arguments will be heard on the appeal of the Supreme Council of the Royal Arcanum from District Court Judge Aldrich who appointed a receiver for the order on petition by Arthur L Hobart holder of a $500 death benefit certificate. The supreme officers protested but the judge did not set aside the order though he suspended the receiver’s power. The appeal goes to the United States circuit court of appeals.

Sheriff Returns With Two Prisoners
Sheriff Arthur Grant brought back from Carmi Illinois two white men, A. W. Davis and Tom Jones, accused of robbing the Kradley Hardware Company's store months ago. A stolen pistol traced to Simmons Hardware and Bradley Hardware linked the suspects to the St. Louis firm. Found with burglar tools, a flashlight, an acetylene car burner, and many keys, the pair offered little resistance during the trip back.
