Paris dispatches quote officials stating President Wilson remains opposed to ceding Fiume after 1923. He plans to address Congress on the Paris negotiations soon after returning to the United States and may tour the country afterward.
Washington May 10 The Associated Press reports strong signs that the Victory Loan has passed over the top and may be oversubscribed though no official estimate or prediction exists. The nation, its parishes and cities show favorable reception and likely robust subscriptions.
Washington dispatch reports war department aims to discharge by June 15 all men enlisted for the emergency who have served within the United States and are attached to regular line organizations. Exceptions apply to Southern and Western departments due to border duty and Mexican campaign considerations.

A tornado struck near Colfax Louisiana killing Mrs Brady Williams and her eighteen month old child. A Black man was severely injured as the storm damaged several homes in the area. The hurricane moved from the southwest to the northeast destroying residences.
