In Shreveport on May 10 the Times Says reports George Epple won the commissionership for Streets and Parks by 3 votes over incumbent W S Atkins with 1891 total votes. Horace Noonan the Socialist candidate got 114, Atkins 887, and Epple 890. City Council to meet at 10 AM to certify results and Epple to take office within ten days.
From El Paso on May 10 advance squads of the Mexican revolutionary army were repulsed north of Torreon by Federal troops. Skirmishes persist between outposts as 15 000 men fight for advantage. Rebels led by General Orozco target Torreon to strike toward the capital.
