Robbers loot bank vault and safety boxes at Como
Robbers entered Planters Bank in Como and rifled safety deposit boxes, seizing Liberty bonds and valuables. Thomas McElroy Dies at 79 in St Francis Hospital
Thomas D McElroy aged 79 died last night at 9 from St Francis sanitarium. He was a Richland parish merchant and planter who retired due to ill health and moved through Monroe to Simsboro where he lived at death. Survived by his widow, he joined the Methodist church for forty years and funeral services will be by Rev H W Ledbetter at 3:30 from his sister-in-law Mrs J P Bonar's home. Interment in Old City cemetery.
