Gasser Explosion Hits New Area Well Near Spencer
The Transcontinental Oil Company well Spencer No. 1 near Spencer Union parish erupted as a gasser a few days ago. The derrick was smashed by gas force and is being replaced. The well’s capacity is reported between two and five million cubic feet per day, not the earlier claimed 25 million. Spencer lies eighteen miles from Monroe.
