City Council Faces Resignations Over Fractured System

Federal Court Adjourned to Thursday in Civil Case
United States District Judge Jack adjourned federal court today to Thursday the 9th at 10 A.M. One civil case involving Harve and Wheeler of Jonesville versus Chas. P. Taft of Cincinnati was continued and may transfer to Shreveport. Plaintiffs seek nearly $30 000 in commissions on land sales in Franklin parish. Fred Gaebler was freed after a jury found him not guilty of espionage act charges. He had claimed naturalized citizenship and said he lived in Portland, Oregon, and had not bathed since April 2. The U S and P Railway Company pled guilty to quarantine violations and was fined 200. The Franklin State Bank suit versus United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company continued with no final action.
