Four Year Old Alfred Causey Rescued From Pipe Incident
Alfred Lafayette Causey, age four, nearly died yesterday after being swept into a 60 foot culvert on Texas Avenue. He traveled under Fourth Avenue and was found unconscious, later revived. doctors say lungs were filled with water but he sustained no major injuries. Local city crews had cleaned the pipe the day before, possibly contributing to his survival.

New Rayville High School Construction Advances
The new Rayville high school building, costing 100000 dollars, is completed.
