Albert Brantley a negro, shot in a Monday night altercation, died at St Francis sanitarium where he had been brought for treatment. Brantley’s remains were shipped back to Huttig. He worked for the Union Saw Mill Company of Huttig. Another man Eugene Crumbly, shot through the head by a negro woman, remained in critical condition at the local sanitarium.
