Heard, 75, president of the Bank of Winnfield and Trust Co., died of a heart attack at his Winnfield home about 4 a.m. He was born August 21, 1881 in Shiloh Union Parish and moved to Winn Parish in 1900. Surviving are his widow, three sons Richard C. Heard, Joe R. Jr., and Robert, a daughter Mrs. H N Wax, two sisters, and a brother-in-law James Ewing. Funeral services tentatively set for tomorrow afternoon.
