Cory man jailed after liquor attempt during failed swim
Cheatham R. Gibson of Cory Louisiana faced arrest in Monroe for trying to sell liquor under Hood law. He leapt from an Iron Mountain train, fled, but fell into a dirty water ditch while fleeing a pursuing officer and swam with a suitcase containing five quarts of white mule.
