Seligman died at Dr Newton's Infirmary with injuries to the chest left side kidney and spinal cord. Webb was jailed awaiting parish authorities.
At the White House an official statement says former Harvard President Eliot declined President Wilsons offer of the ambassadorship to Great Britain. He expressed gratitude and said he could serve the country more effectively at home.
St. Louis businessmen have arranged a large banquet for tomorrow night to welcome Charles Nagel former Secretary of Commerce and Labor back to the city to resume his law practice. The event will be nonpartisan.
