Wail, president of a Woodville bank and Ford agency investor, identified two suspects Brett Elkin and Donald King. Elkin’s and King’s alibis differed, with Wallace and Elkin giving competing accounts of the events near Hotel Alvis and a skating rink. King was later arrested in Okhaven and confessed in writing.
