The local Farm Loan Association chooses J. Montgomery as head and names a governing roster to lead farming credit efforts. Members announce new leadership and outline focus on loan programs and community farming support.
At West Monroe Town Hall the Ouachita Valley National Farm Loan Association elected J. C. Montgomery W. G. Haynes S. P. Lewis K. E. Gray R. L. Moore and J. M. Rainbolt directors for the year. Officers named were J. C. Montgomery president W. G. Haynes vice president and C. C. A. Smith secretary.
The Monroe district Medical Advisory Board reports results up to March 1 with many draft registrants passed as qualified for service. The lists show those qualified disqualified and held for limited service, naming numerous individuals across multiple counties and states. It also notes the likely 1918 Confederate Veterans reunion moving from June to September in Tulsa.
