Farm credits bill clears House aims two banking systems
The House passed a farm credits bill by 305 to 36 to create two banking systems for agriculture a government and a private. It provides twelve intermediate credit banks in farm loan cities with 5 million capital each and tax free debentures up to 600 million. Private rediscount and stock banks join the system with varying capitals. The War Finance Corporation continues to January 31 awaiting operation of the new system.
