President Carter smiles after a nationally televised press conference in Washington but declines to take questions. He announces the United States will not continue the production of the B1 bomber amid the briefing.
Senator Jim Brown says SB 925 would authorize 25 million dollars in bonds to four lane a stretch of La. 15 from Gilbert to Rayville aiming to cut traffic deaths. The plan, supported by Northeast Louisiana officials, could begin by late 1977 or early 1978 with full Senate action possible next week.
