Amputation Follows Teen’s Leg Graft in Eunice
In Eunice Louisiana doctors amputated the lower leg of 18 year old Oneita Jenkins 22 days after grafting the severed limb onto the leg. Fresh X rays showed progression of dry gangrene in the foot necessitating removal four inches below the graft. The leg had been torn off just below the knee when a horse she was riding was struck by a car.
