Florida voters choose repeal stance in Democratic congressional primaries
Four of Florida's five Democratic nominees favor submission of the liquor issue to voters as the run off results show in most districts. In the first district J. Hardin Peterson leads gently over Herbert Drane with both backing submission while Green in the second district is unopposed and undecided. Caldwell defeats Yon in the third district and backs submission. Sears wins at large and backs submission. Ruth Bryan Owen loses to Wilcox in the fourth district. Sholtz named governor faces Howey in November.
