Sheriff J P Parker Jr says Monroe does not want exemption in Mr Smith's commission form government bill as Shreveport and Alexandria back it. In Beechwood Park crossing near Charleroi a large car was struck by a heavy suburban electric train. William H. Hamilton 43 and his son Roy 22 were killed instantly. Hamilton's wife 40, daughter Annie 26, cousin Blanche Matheny 19, all injured. Two more Hamilton children 12 and 7 hospitalized with injuries. Mary 7 burned when the car caught fire.
