New York June 27 Another wave of art selling and liquidation pulled more than fifty stocks to year low prices. The decline came despite modest volume as discouraged investors sold. Low priced railroads and major issues such as Union Pacific Great Northern Southern Pacific Reading Northern Pacific dropped to new lows. Industrials including United States Steel Bethlehem Republic Steel Utah Copper United States Rubber Studebaker American Sugar and United States Alcohol also fell to new minimum figures.
Denver Mayor Benjamin F. Stapleton announced a permit would be issued for a Ku Klux Klan meeting at the city owned auditorium despite protests from Governor W F Sweet and other leaders. Posters promoting the Klan were found at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and at the Jewish Temple Immanuel.
Springfield June 27 The anti Ku Klux Klan bill became law with the governor’s approval. It declares it unlawful to disturb the peace kidnap assault with deadly weapons or appear in public places hooded robed or masked to conceal identity and provides penalties.

Speeches by Judge Schulze and Dr Schrieber highlighted the evening with Miss Hannah and Woodmen Circle serving refreshments. The 249 member Monroe camp praised for years of savings and community service as plans for final settlement on the headquarters proceed.
