Call for Commission to Study Old Age Dependency Crisis
New York's William I. Sirovich urges Congress to form a fifty member commission to study old age dependency and funding methods. He cites rising longevity and waning useful work life, proposing expert inquiry and modern pensions or insurance as potential solutions. The House Rules Committee considers a broad panel including four senators, four representatives, two capital reps, two labor reps, and three public citizens.
