In New Orleans a 12 year old mother named Rose Billiot Chassion, wife of 16 year old Eddie Chassion, shrimp fisherman of Montegut La, rested comfortably at Charity hospital with a healthy seven pound baby born yesterday. Mother and son were reported doing nicely.
Washington June 14 Plans to produce 10 600 trained men a year including 7 000 pilots to staff the nations expanding army air force were announced today by Secretary of War Woodring. The plan uses two air corps bases as training centers for pilots and instructors alongside the Westing of the air at Randolph field.
