Homer Planters Ship Beans and Potatoes Worth $1500
Shipment of beans and potatoes around Homer Louisiana earned farmers about $1500 this season. The three mixed carloads included 1250 bushels of beans and 379 sacks of potatoes bought by Allen Feed Company. Tomato sheds opened Monday with a good crop but reduced acreage this year. Rail line crops are satisfactory and more sheds will open within ten days. An innovation at Germany's Leipzig Fair featured an upright piano convertible into a sideboard or desk by repositioning panels.
