Memorial cornerstone laid for Jackson in last Confederate gathering
Richmond Virginia June 3 cornerstone laid for an everlasting memorial to General Stonewall Jackson marking the fourth and final day of the Confederate Veterans reunion. Major William A Anderson delivered the day’s oration with Gov. Stuart and Gen. Hennett Young among speakers as veterans and families wept openly at the ceremony.
