Second Victim Dies From Lake Providence Car Crash
Jerry G. Enright 33 of Birmingham died in a Tallulah hospital as a second victim of a wreck that killed Miss Lou Carter of Lake Providence. Enright and LeRoy Haggerty were returning from a night club with two women when their car crashed and burned. Haggerty remains hospitalized improving and Eula Belle Lindsey escaped serious injury. Miss Carter died instantly in the accident. The body of Enright will be sent to St. Louis for funeral services Saturday. Enright was employed on a federal entitlement project near Lake Providence.

A 21 year old blonde Beatrice Wood confessed after arrest that she abducted five month old Gerald McCrohan from his carriage to replace her own dead baby. She was found with Frederick Bauers, 23, as detectives traced the abduction from a Philadelphia street corner.
