State police intervened as demonstrators blocked the road to the Vancouver Plywood Co plant near Oakdale Louisiana. About 200 union members picketed. 30 men and a few women stood along tracks while troopers cleared debris from the road. No injuries reported though tempers flared during the ongoing eight week strike by Carpenters and Joiners Local 310L.
