Carr was a well known public spirited farmer who homesteaded a farm and became a successful planter. He leaves two children in Monroe and nine others in Mississippi and Texas.
Mrs Alemada Watts 76 residing with daughter Mrs C G McCleery 601 Glenmar Ave died at home Sunday morning 7 30. Funeral services were held at Peters Funeral Home at 4 p.m. Rev W C Scott of First Methodist officiated. Body sent on 9 30 train today for Topeka Kansas for burial tomorrow.
Henry M. Blackmer, the Teapot Dome witness who settled income tax claims totaling 4 million dollars and paid a 60 thousand dollar fine for refusal to testify, says he does not intend to return to the United States. His lawyer announced that Blackmer has made his home in France.
London July 4 Mrs Elvira Dolores Barney former actress and noted beauty stood in the Old Bailey and answered not guilty to the charge of shooting and killing Michael Scott Stephen at her Williams Mews apartment after a cocktail party Stephen 26 was a London social figure. A shotgun and shells were found near the garage and Bercegeau is 46.
