Mary Amanda Fletcher 68 of Pine Ridge Road West Monroe died at home after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her husband John N. Fletcher two sons John T. Fletcher and Stanley E. Fletcher two daughters Maxine Paschal and Erline Bowker two brothers H Y Weaver and Coleman Weaver four sisters Novie Curry Lovie Cupples Ruby Taylor and Audrey White and three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are under Hixson Brothers Funeral Home Monroe.
Robert N. Dartez 67 of 1614 South 1st St. Monroe died Saturday in a Pineville hospital. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. in Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe with burial at Twin Cities Memorial Gardens West. He served in World War II and worked for Monroe city police and fire departments. Survived by wife Mrs. Ruby Dartez, son Harold Dartez, daughter Mrs. Kitty DeFreese, six brothers and five pallbearers.
