Noel Baker tells the U N Security Council that a communal war in the Indian peninsula could erupt if fighting between Pakistan and India continues. He warns the conflict risks devastating 700 000 villages and massive slaughter across the region.
Mrs. Harold Engstrom and daughter Betty hosted a dinner for out of town wedding guests Miss McHenry and Mr. Grant Thomas at the Rainbow Inn. Guests wore camellias from local gardens, with a four course steak dinner and choral music. Other attendees included Akron Ohio couples, Charleston West Virginia residents, and guests from Chicago Corpus Christi Houston Baton Rouge Berger and Monroe.

Dates include January 27 with Friendship Temple activities and officer installations, YWCA programs, Y-Teens bowling, Methodist circle gatherings, and Christian service circles.
