Interim Financing Plan is Approved
The Louisiana Office Building Corporation approved a new interim financing plan for the Land and Natural Resources Building. Six Baton Rouge banks will participate, allowing up to 13 million dollars at six percent interest, replacing an earlier bid at 6.72 percent and enabling three years of borrowing until bonds are sold. The plan also covers land and architects fees and may be refinanced if bonds sell earlier. A bond sale may target around 65 percent.
