Ruston High football player wounded in accidental shooting
An 18 year old Ruston High School football player P. B. Colvin was wounded in the chest by a revolver fired accidentally by his father Presa Colvin during a Christmas celebration eight miles north of Ruston on Farmerville road. The youth stood in a doorway when the bullet deflected into his chest. The incident was reported from Harris Clinic.

Deaths of Mare Parker infant and George C Edwards
Funeral services for Mare Les Parker infant daughter of Mr and Mrs Fred Parker were held Tuesday afternoon at Riverview Burial Park. She is survived by both parents three brothers and one sister.
