Wilson visits Neuilly hospital veterans and lifts spirits

President Wilson spent four hours at Neuilly American hospital in Neuilly sur Seine meeting about 1,200 badly wounded U S soldiers from Chateau Thierry. He praised care and spirits while promising a speedy recovery and personal greetings to each man. He then visited Val de Grace hospital and chose not to attend church.

English Soldiers Get Fit 4.a.N Old Resident of Monroe is Dead

The death of Mrs. Malissa HH Endom at 1:58 PM at 500 Tall Street Monroe follows pneumonia after influenza. She was 68, widow of Charles Robert Endom, with five sons and one daughter, several siblings, and was a charter member of the First Methodist Episcopal Church South and Eastern Star. Funeral services will be held at her home Tuesday at 10 AM with interment in City Cemetery after receiving word from absent sons Robert and Percy.
