New Dormitory Underway At Training School
Construction has begun on a 115000 two story dormitory for boys at Louisiana Training Institute. A L Swanson said the white brick building will match newer structures and be ready for occupancy July 1. It will house 25 boys ages eight to 12 with a playroom writing rooms locker room bathrooms and an apartment for house parents. This is the eighth dormitory on the grounds and LTI houses 308 boys. Four Texan Commuters Killed In Truck Collision
An oil transport truck and a pickup collided ten miles southeast of Lefors Texas. Four Pampa men riding in the pickup were burned beyond recognition. The driver Buddy Gregg of Shamrock, injured, and the pickup owned by Triangle Well Servicing Co of Pampa. Names of the dead released after relatives notified. Oil sprayed over both vehicles, causing immediate flames.
