Trucker Killed West of Girard in Four-Truck Crash
A 45 year old truck line owner, J A Brown of San Antonio Texas, was crushed to death in a four vehicle crash on U S 80 one mile west of Girard at about 4 a m. The other drivers involved were Hollis Benjamin of New Orleans, William Vanderford of Monroe and Jack Hoover of San Antonio. Benjamin was charged with negligent homicide and jailed in Richland parish.
