The new ten story Ouachita National Bank building at DeSiard and St. John streets will open to the public from 4 to 10 pm with a reception and speeches by bank officials and invited guests. Ouachita Parish posse arrests after night tracking of criminals

A Caldwell parish led posse under Sheriff McClanahan and Ouachita deputies tracked suspects through the parish last night and arrested Jim Culpepper and Sam Clark near Logtown. Bloodhounds assisted as the pair were brought to Monroe for jail, tied to recent robberies including the Goodlock and Granberry cases with loot unrecovered.

Release Harrell in Check Case at Preliminary Hearing

R A Harrell, a young white man, was released before a preliminary hearing in Monroe district court on the district attorney's instruction. The DA said the warrant was faulty after alleging two counterfeit checks totaling $57 signed by Joe Wood and R W Moore. Harrell had been jailed four or five days.

Clinic Proposal Before Ouachita Jury Today

The Police Jury of Ouachita Parish met in regular session at 10 30 this morning led by John Breard Jr. The main item: appropriation of 1500 for a Leonidas Barkdull Faulk Free Clinic to open January 1 with 3000 needed for the first six months and a request for city aid of 1500. Beds will serve parish and city. Dr Armand McHenry, parish health officer, will assess cases.
