Stennis Praises Rural Development Act in Port Gibson
Senator John Stennis told Port Gibson residents and the Claiborne County Chamber of Commerce that the Rural Development Act will stimulate all rural life in Mississippi. He said it gives new authority to the Agriculture Secretary to promote growth without diverting funds from existing farm programs and aims to curb urban overcrowding by backing rural business with loans and grants.
