Hurt of Lothair Kentucky was sentenced to death by hanging after a 10 man court martial found him guilty of raping and slaying Yumiko Nagayama a six year old girl on September 3. Hurt 31 attached to the 22nd Anti Aircraft Artillery Battalion maintained his innocence as the trial began November 11 and the panel deliberated 59 minutes before verdict.
