Adcock Sees Failure for One Cent Sales Tax Plan

Monroe senator Jamar Adcock predicts the amended one cent sales tax bill will fail in the Senate as 14 senators oppose it. Adcock argues funds should come from other sources and notes local districts already can levy taxes for teacher pay. The bill was amended to divert revenue to old age benefits and avoid a voter referendum.
