Twenty nine persons have cast absentee ballots for the December 18 Democratic primary in Ouachita Parish. Absentee voting is in the basement of the parish clerk of court through noon December 1, with hours 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Also on December 18 Monroe city voters face a proposal to purchase United Gas Pipe Line Co distribution facilities, a Utilities Commission purchase and operation plan.
