Eight prisoners pled guilty before Judge David J. Garrett in district court Friday. Dallas White faced forgery of a $25 check on J C Salley with a two to three year minimum in the state penitentiary. Frank Blackford received three to five years for theft from Monroe Auto and Supply. Jack Denton got $100 or 30 days for carrying a concealed weapon. Lea Hart served 69 days for possession of stolen property. Ted Brown Sam Brown and Eddie Jones each drew 10 days for petty larceny. P Wimberly received six months on the parish road gang for larceny of a fire extinguisher.

Obituary for William H Bumgardner in Clarks Louisiana
William H Bumgardner aged 62 died suddenly of a heart attack on a Wednesday afternoon. Funeral services were held at Welcome Home cemetery near Grayson with Rev Bass of West Monroe in charge. Surviving are four daughters Mrs C A Pouncy Mrs A N Hutton Mrs H Y Fussell and Mrs Elder Fussel and four sons Lannie Willie Ulan Curtis and P J Bumgardner. He lived with his son in law and daughter Mr and Mrs Elder Fussell at the time of death.

Quintuplet Siamese Kittens Die In Tragic Fall
In Gulfport Mississippi City a mother cat attempting to move her five kittens out of a house leaped a fence and dropped the quintuplets. Two were killed on impact and the other three were euthanized. the bodies remained joined near their midsections.

Veterinarians Protest Discontinuance of Cattle Tuberculin Tests
The Louisiana Veterinary Medical association urged reinstatement of general tuberculin testing for dairy cattle at a Baton Rouge session. Dr. H. H. Baur led discussions with state leaders including Senator Huey Long and Governor O. K. Allen. A tuberculosis relations committee was formed to press officials on the policy, noting tests have only been in seriously infected areas since April 1933.
