The estate was not divided equally with other Berry heirs receiving two to three hundred thousand. Martha Wortha shares the largest portion as namesake.
London August 26 The Evening News reports an attempted attack on the Bank of England using an internal device placed in the safety vault. A ticking clock in the package revealed the plot.
The Pacific Navigation Company steamer Admiral Sampson sank four minutes after colliding with the liner Princess Victory twenty miles from Seattle at 6:30 this morning. The Victory reportedly rescued most of the fifty six passengers and sixty five crew members. seventeen lives are reported lost.
