In Tokyo on August fourth a 75 year old Japanese vice-premier and minister without portfolio Bar on Kisehiro Hiranuma was wounded by a gunman. The attacker, posing as an autograph seeker, entered the home and fired three shots from a pistol hidden in a parchment scroll. He was captured on the grounds.
