National Guard Back Sunday Encampment Returns by Rail
Members of the national guard from Biloxi and nearby cities will arrive in Monroe on an Illinois Central train Sunday at 1 30 pm after a July 31 departure. The unit includes Company G led by Captain Louis F Raileigh the medical detachment under Captain W L Bendel and the 156th infantry service company under Captain George Trousdale First Lieutenant Prenticer Clark and Second Lieutenant Raymond Spence with Company E Shreveport and Company F Ruston. The encampment involved southern guard units totaling about 30 000 men with wartime defense drills and simulated attack.
