The Federal Power Commission adopts a two price ceiling for Permian Basin gas, setting higher rates for fresh well gas to spur new reserves and cut consumer costs. Refunds of about 30 to 35 million dollars are expected to be passed from three interstate pipelines El Paso Natural Gas North ern Natural Gas and Trans western to customers by Sept. 1 with a moratorium on price increases until Jan 1 1968.

Police credited both city and suburban units with pursuing him. Hanna faces 39 traffic offenses and an assault charge from Mrs Wallace.
