About 100 integrationists picketed Mayor Richard J. Daley’s Bridgeport home for a third night, led by Albert Raby and Dick Gregory. Police kept order with around 150 officers as the march, from Grant Park in a rainstorm, continued daily postures against the rehiring of schools superintendent Benjamin C. Willis, whom demonstrators accuse of maintaining de facto segregation. Daley defended Willis’s contract while plan to extend protests until Willis retires in 1966 was stated.

Corpus Christi Texas AP report says Texas authorities plan to build a kidnapping case against Francis Aubrey Clifton 27 Columbus Ohio held on death sentence in Louisiana. Clifton returned Tuesday after abducting four people including Mrs Pennington and Mrs Untermeyer near Harlingen. He threatened to kill but relented. earlier he killed C C Wilson in 1962 after Wilson picked him up hitchhiking and Wilson’s $2.50 found on him.
