Two Oil Field Workers Hurt
LAUREL, Miss. Two oil field workers were severely injured and contaminated by radioactive material when a fracture line ruptured at a well near Taylorsville in Smith County. More than 25 workmen sprayed with strontium 90, but only Lloyd J. Cullough, district manager of the Cullough Tool Co., and Jam Moynihan, another McCull employee, received a full bath of it. The fracture process, used closing out a well, involves strontium. The hose ruptured under 150 pounds pressure.
