Washington April 6 experts from the Department of Agriculture report the reappearance of the pink bollworm in Texas and its new finding in Louisiana. Secretary Daniels Sees Pacific Flight Feasibility

Secretary Daniels told the Senate Naval Committee he hopes within two years or so a machine will enable a non stop flight across the Pacific. Delta Country Floods Water Rise Goes On

Delta Country experiences ongoing flood risk as the Mississippi backwater continues to rise. In Natchez the river climbs about seven tenths of a foot per day with levees said to be in good condition but not yet under active protection. Traffic expansion in Trenton outpaces streets and sidewalks

Reward Offered for Tick Violation Arrest in Ouachita Parish

The Ouachita parish police jury will pay 1000 dollars for the arrest and conviction of those dynamiting cattle dipping vats in the parish. Dr J W H Yoder, cattle tick inspector, said the offer was made months ago and renewed as depredations resume. He noted a possible quarantine of wards seven and eight but opposed quarantining the entire western half.
