Rains Hamper Hunt For Killer In Bank Holdup

BIG SPRINGS NEB AP The search for a gunman who killed three bank employees bogged down as rains flooded roads Saturday. A survivor, Franklin Kjeldgaard 25, in a Denver hospital, could help police. The thief used a 22 caliber pistol in a Farmers State Bank robbery, took about 1500 dollars, and fled in a late model car. Officers found no trace of him after 24 hours.

McKeithen Sets Reward For Slayers

Sudan Coup Fails as Arms Seized and Arrests Reported

Hamburg Youth Fatally Shot In Accident

Dennis Pennington an 18 year old Hamburg resident was shot about 4 pm Saturday by Dan Stell also 18. The two were fooling with a 38 pistol when it discharged injuring Pennington who died later at Crossett Health Center. Stell and three witnesses described it as an accident at the Finn station on Hamburg's southern edge.
