One Killed In Pipeline Explosion
An Edmond Oklahoma gas pipeline blast killed one worker and hospitalised six others. Andrew James Calaway, 38, from Del City, was operating a backhoe at the pipeline mouth when the 12 inch line exploded. The six injured were 23 year old Jack Johnson, 22 year old Matthew Green, 27 year old Tom Choate, 43 year old Jasper Roper, 31 year old R C Jones and 43 year old David Reed. All were employees of Concho Construction Co. The blast followed by gusty winds burned several hundred yards of grass and trees. No homes were nearby.
