Griggs Well in Lincoln Parish Shows Gas and Distillate
Griggs No. 1 wildcat test in section 36 18 1 west Lincoln parish about 13 miles west of Monroe logged three shows of gas and distillate in the Glen Ross sand at depths between 4903 and 4921 feet 4935 to 4955 feet and 4980 to 4950 feet. The well remains in a crucial drilling stage and contract depth is 6000 feet.
Traffic accidents rise in Monroe in November
Monroe police report a near 20 percent rise in motor mishaps in November to 60 from 48 in October. One death occurred in November, 11 injuries, and 680 arrests for various offenses including 519 traffic violations. Two cars stolen, two recovered. 12 bicycles stolen, 11 recovered.
