His body to be buried in Fairview cemetery New Britain Connecticut. Mrs Fellows travels with Ray Dwyer a Fitchburg hotel owner and longtime friend.
Japanese troops advance into Anhwei and Chekiang provinces threatening Nanking. Rear-area units tighten control of Shanghai customs and communications as Hangchow comes under pressure. Britain warns it must be consulted on any changes to communications and routes.

Debates on Centenary college charter pause for lawyers report. college charter expires in five years and the Louisiana state conference seeks permanent ownership. A joint trustees meeting will plan liquidation of bonded debt before January 15, 1938.
Mount Carmel Pa November 27 Rescue workers freed the second of three freelance miners from a cave in near Potts colliery of the Philadelphia and Reading Coal and Iron company Charles Ruganis thirty four was taken to a hospital in serious condition with a fractured arm and possible pelvis fracture He was also suffering from shock John Plichelski twenty nine died soon after reaching the top of the slope last night Charles Bolinski fifty five remained in the mine and had not been heard from since the cave in
In St. Anthony Idaho on November 27 an Utah Power and Light employee reported 42 eagles electrocuted within a week in the area. The incident raises concerns that power poles are dangerous roosting spots for the birds.

In Phoenix on November 7 a woman told highway patrolmen the body she saw in her car was a dummy named Colonel Pottersby. Mrs M P Blank of Los Angeles said she uses it as an escort to discourage hitchhikers.
President Roosevelt sent a letter to Senator Barkley urging that the new farm program be kept within the $500,000,000 annual appropriation. He warned that continued expenditure growth without matching revenue will widen deficits and called for steps to ensure the appropriation covers necessary spending.
The labor department reports 48.4 percent of unskilled southern workers earned under 4 cents hourly, versus 3.5 percent in the north. Police in Pasadena arrest James Womack on suspicion of attempted murder in a case tied to a plot to steal over 1 million dollars of inventions from inventor Louise L. Irving W. Allen 61 owner of the A and W Sandwich shop at 326 DeSiard street died suddenly at his home 1510 North Third street after a months illness. A 3:30 funeral service at Peters chapel followed by 3:45 service at First Baptist Church with Rev. L. T. Hastings officiating. Interment in River View Burial Park. He was a Mason and pallbearers include Dr. J. H. Pankey and Judge W. M. Harper. He had returned to work recently after illness in a New Orleans hospital and died of angina pectoris at his home. He was a California native who lived in Monroe for several years and was active in civic and church affairs.
Four University of Mississippi students were injured in a collision on highway 82 near Indianola while driving to delta homes for the weekend. Neil Eckles of Cleveland, 20, suffered a fractured right ankle. Coleman Branton, 23, Greenville. Gene Bates, 28, Liberty. and Bobby Wall, 24, Cleveland, had cuts and bruises. Jack Patty of Shaw was uninjured. Eckles remained hospitalized for treatment. the other car's driver was not identified.
Secretary Hull warned Japan that the United States would be very concerned if Tokyo tampered with the Chinese maritime customs. Ambassador Grew formally notified Tokyo as Washington coordinates with Britain and other powers. Officials fear Chinese port control could disrupt American trade and investments, with Shanghai and other centers at risk.
